Ribbon Cutting and Open House:
The state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to open November 4.  The public is invited to the Allen Event Center Ribbon Cutting at 10 a.m. An Open House follows from 11a.m. - 5 p.m.

Open House and Select-A-Seat Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Have you been waiting to see the inside of the Allen Event Center? This Saturday, Oct. 31, the Americans will be hosting their last open house and select-a-seat event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with Dodie’s Place Sports Grill. Tours will leave every half hour from the lounge area of Dodie’s and last for 30 minutes. All tour participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability and must wear long pants and closed-toed  shoes.




Opening Night Festivities – Nov. 7
The first home game in franchise history is almost here, and you don’t want to miss out! Besides seeing the currently undefeated Allen Americans play on home ice for the first time, Olympic gold medalist Carly Patterson will be singing the national anthem and signing autographs. Pregame festivities will begin at 5:00 p.m. with live music and an interactive kids zone featuring video games, face painting and balloons. Plus, everyone attending the game will receive an Americans’ goalie schedule. Special Veterans Day Festivities – Nov. 11
You won’t want to miss the Veterans Day game against the cross-town rival Texas Brahmas. Besides seeing what’s sure to be an action-packed game, you’ll be able to take your picture with hockey’s most coveted trophy—the Stanley Cup. Fans can also purchase game-worn camouflage specialty jerseys off the players’ backs in an auction immediately following the game. All proceeds raised will benefit the Men and Women of the Texas National Guard of Collin County and The Texas National Guard Family Support Foundation. Americans’ owners Doug Miller and Steve Duchesne, oil guru T. Boone Pickens and Boston’s Gourmet Pizza Owner Jim Treliving have all agreed to match the amount raised. Americans win two more on the road, extend streak to 4-0

The Americans defeated the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs 2-1 last Friday and the Laredo Bucks 5-4 in overtime Saturday to become the only team in the CHL with no losses this season. Nathan O’Nabigon scored the game-winning goal in the third period against the Mudbugs. The next night goaltender Chris Whitley made his first professional start, and Chris Kaufman clinched the game in overtime. The team takes on the Texas Brahmas Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7:05 p.m.

North Texas Kids Family Expo Oct. 31
The Allen Americans will have their inflatable slap shot cage at the North Texas Kids Family Expo this Saturday at the Plano Centre (2000 E. Spring Creek Pkwy. @ Jupiter) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fun event is free and is a great way to keep your kids entertained and teach them about all of the great businesses and non-profit organizations that serve our community.

Your kids will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat in a safe environment, bounce, make a mask, get their face painted, see live entertainment and enter a costume contest, to just mention a few of the fun activities planned for the day. There will be mobile gaming and laser tag at the event for your older kids, too!
Brahmas Discount Ticket Offer for Oct. 31  
Fans will have a chance to see the Americans when the club travels to NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills to take on the Brahmas for the first time this season Saturday, Oct. 31, at 7:05 p.m. The Texas Brahmas are offering all members, families and friends of the Allen American’s Fan Club discounted tickets.
