Allen prepares for three-game home stand in Conference Finals
ALLEN, Texas – The Allen Americans are calling all hockey fans to fill the Allen Event Center for their next three home games April 14, 16 and 17. The expansion club is battling with Odessa for a spot in the Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup Finals. Allen is currently tied 1-1 in the best-of-seven Southern Conference Finals.
The Americans will be handing out rally towels to the first 1,500 fans at each game. Coors Light and 103.3 FM ESPN will be providing the towels for Wednesday’s Game Three contest, while Allen Eye Associates and The 33 CW will provide towels for this weekend’s matchups. All fans are encouraged to wear red to “red out” the arena.
The club has declared Friday “Mascot Night.” Some area mascots are invited to attend the game and participate in intermission activities. Allen High School’s eagle mascot Tuffy, along with the Allen Police Department and Allen Fire Department mascots, will be on hand. Fans can get their picture taken with the mascots prior to the 7:30 p.m. puck drop. If any mascots are interested in participating, please contact Kaitlin White at kaitlin@allenamericans.com.
The Americans will be hosting “Fan Fest” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in front of the Allen Event Center before Game Five on Saturday. The block party will include live music, bounce houses and an interactive gaming area.
