Americans to play Odessa in Southern Conference Finals
ALLEN, Texas – After winning their first playoff series in franchise history last night against Laredo, the Allen Americans will play the Odessa Jackalopes in the Southern Conference Finals of the 2010 Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup Playoffs.
The format of the best-of-seven series will be 2-3-2. Allen will hit the road for the first two games Friday, April 9, and Saturday, April 10, at the Ector County Coliseum. Both games will begin at 7:05 p.m.
Allen will host Odessa for Games Three, Four and Five (if necessary). They will take place April 14, 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Allen Event Center. Fans are encouraged to wear red to all home games in an effort to “red out” the stadium.
Odessa beat the Texas Brahmas 4-2 in the Conference Semifinals in the previous round. Allen went 1-2-1 against the Jackalopes this year. Odessa won the Bud Poile Governors’ Cup Champions this season, which is awarded to the team with the most points at the end of the regular season.
