Americans to host first Kids Appreciation Day Monday, Jan. 18
ALLEN, Texas – The Allen Americans announced today that they will have their first Kids Appreciation Day Jan. 18, 2010, in conjunction with the Foundation for Allen Schools and Plano ISD Education Foundation.
On Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, the Americans host the Arizona Sundogs at 1:00 p.m. The Americans are offering discounted ticket prices to children, family and friends of Allen ISD and Plano ISD schools. Prices begin as low as $7 per ticket, and one dollar from each ticket purchased will go to the respective foundation.
Part of the festivities Monday include face painters, a stilt walker and a magician outside the front entrance beginning at 11:30 a.m. in addition to an interactive video game area from Games2U. McGruff the Crime Dog will also be present, as well as a display of the Simpson family to commemorate the show’s 20-year run on the air.
